means if you give to your local community, so will the government. This will help you:
- increase the impact of your giving by up to 250%
- make a lasting difference to your local community
Between 2008 and 2011, every £ you give will be matched by £1 from government. Add gift aid and your gift is worth £2. 56. If you are a higher rate tax payer you can claim tax relief so the gift only costs you 75p. This will more than double your impact. .
Thames Community Foundation is one of 67 local funders across England selected to manage the Grassroots Grants endowment match challenge.
To secure £1.6m from government, we need to raise £1.6m before 2011.
All donations, together with the government match funding, will be invested in special endowment funds for the long term benefit of local communities in Hammersmith and Fulham
Hounslow
Kingston
Merton,
Richmond
Sutton,
Wandsworth
Hillingdon.
Every year, your gift will help fund community and voluntary groups working to make Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton, Wandsworth and Hillingdon better for everyone.
In that sense, it is a gift that keeps on giving.
We are firmly rooted in the local community and experts in supporting local community and voluntary groups. Whether it’s funding friendship clubs for older people, support groups for people with disabilities or positive activities for young people, we ensure that grants made are relevant to local needs.
We are experienced in managing funds on behalf of individuals and organisations and have independently assessed quality accreditation endorsed by the Charity Commission.
If you are considering making a donation, please get in touch so we can discuss your needs and involvement.
Gifts of any size may be made, but if you give over £10,000 you can also be involved in specifying the kinds of issues and geographical areas where your gift may be used. Please contact us directly using the major donor enquiries button below.
