Complementary Cancer Care Trust

Palliative Care & Home Visiting Service

January 2012 - January 2015

The Big Idea

A client's programme is designed to take into account the individuals needs at every stage, and to give them the best possible home holistic care throughout. We want our clients to feel comfortable, relaxed and listened to, viewed first as people and second as having cancer.

Need

When the client is receiving palliative care treatment or they are too frail to attend the weekly support groups run by Complementary Cancer Care Trust , it is important that they are able to receive counselling or complementary therapies or befriending in their own home.

Solution

The programme intends to provide six therapies over a period of six months plus two visits from a Home Visiting Officer. This is intended to give the benefit of stress control, countering tension, insomnia, anxiety, pain and sickness. Our therapists are qualified and insured to nationally recognised standards. Complementary Cancer Care Trust has a policy of confidentiality and must always uphold the good standing of their profession and that of the Trust.
