Need
The barriers to independence experienced by disabled children and young people
Solution
By providing a range of equipment to aid independent movement
Aims
Increased freedom and mobility
Activities
» We assess the requirements of our applicants with relevant health professionals in order to provide appropriate and sometimes bespoke equipment
Success will be the delivery of suitable equipment and renewed freedom and opportunities
Impact
Increased independence and self-esteem for 100s of disabled children and young people which opens doors to new opportunites. This also offers some respite to families and carers.
Risk
Unfortunately our equipment waiting list is longer than it has ever been and we are in contact with applicants who are desperate for help. We continue to work tirelessly with long-term supporters to fund equipment and to try to source new donors.
Reporting
We provide regular online, face-to-face and printed correspondence. Donoras are always welcome to visit us to see our programmes at firsthand and to meet some of the fantastic young people we work with.
