The Neurofibromatosis Association's vision is to improve the lives of those affected by Neurofibromatosis, one of the world's most common neurogenetic conditions that affects over 25000 people in the UK. As yet there is no cure.
The Neurofibromatosis Association aims to:
- To develop a network of regional support groups to offer advice, contact, social activities and friendship for those affected by Neurofibromatosis.
- To maintain the national telephone helpline that is available to all - those directly affected by the condition; medical profession, teachers, and social workers.
- Raise funds to sustain the valuable network of specialist advisors who support those affected by Neurofibromatosis both in the community and in clinics.
