Dudley Canal Trust (Trips) Ltd
Dudley Canal Trust(Trips) Ltd was formed in 1983 to operate boat trips into Dudley Canal Tunnel on behalf of the Dudley Canal Trust. DCT(T)L currently employs 16 full and part time employees and has, in the course of a year’s activities, over 130 volunteers supporting the Trust’s work: this includes site maintenance, assisting with boat trips, and 9 volunteer Trustee Directors.
The DCT(T) charity objectives are: the advancement of public education in the history, economy, geology and other features of the Dudley Canal Tunnel and the inland waterways, and the preservation of the Dudley tunnel and its navigable status; in furtherance of these objectives the charity operates passenger vessels through the Dudley Canal Tunnel and
on other canals in the region.
