AAF’s mission is to relieve poverty and sickness and to assist the aged and disabled, particularly within disadvantaged African communities in the UK and Africa.
In particular, AAF seeks to support growth and personal development amongst some of the most marginalised people in society, who often feel they have no active part to play in it. By doing so, the charity acts as a springboard for individuals to jump out of their cycles of poverty, ill-health and low self esteem, into a future filled with confidence, wellbeing and sustainable independence.
AFRICA ADVOCACY FOUNDATION aims to:
- To protect and preserve health and to relieve persons suffering from long-term conditions, depression or illness.
- To relieve poverty and sickness, particularly within the African community in greater London and overseas.
- To advance the education of children by the provision educational support and cultural events featuring African music, dance and drama
- To relieve the aged and the disabled and reduce isolation
- To provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation, particularly by the provision of a community centre so that people's conditions of life may be improved.
