Magic Carpet (Exeter)
Magic Carpet exists to improve the health of society’s most vulnerable through contemporary creative arts provision.
Magic Carpet is the main provider of high quality creative activities for vulnerable people in Exeter and surrounding areas. The majority of our regular work is with people with mental health issues, learning disabilities and carers, although we occasionally work with other vulnerable people. Currently each week in Exeter and East Devon we run at least 14 creative groups for those people we support. Our activities include: drama, music, painting and craft and much more! Our sessions operate in a variety of differing spaces within the local community, aiming to make creativity accessible to those people we support. We believe that our activities need to be in accessible locations within the community.
We want our participants to be at the centre of culture within their community and strive to create opportunities to make this happen.
