International Refugee Trust (IRT)
International Refugee Trust (IRT) is a UK charity that was established in 1989. IRT aims to safeguard the wellbeing of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and refugees who flee racial, religious and ethnic persecution as well as those uprooted by war and violence. Our work also aims to help people rebuild their lives by promoting health care, education and economic recovery.
IRT works with partners that support refugees and IDPs in Uganda, Sudan, Eritrea, Thailand and Jordan. Since 1989, we have supported projects that have improved access to health care and education for over 600,000 people. IRT have also supported social enterprise initiatives that have enabled over 20,000 people to recover their livelihoods.
